Enrollment Guide of CCIAP

 Cooperation Mode

China-Canada International Academic Program (CCIAP) includes one year’s study in China (Grade 10) and two years’ study in Canada (Grade 11&12). At the beginning of Grade 10, the students will be registered in a Canadian High school while taking extensive language training courses, getting credits, and familiarizing themselves with foreign teachers and evaluating system in China. They will leave for Canada at the beginning of Grade 11 and have classes with local students until they get a high school diploma.

Registration 

Of students who are eligible for admission, they will register in a Canadian High School right after admission.

Guardianship Abroad

The guardianship of the students in this program goes to the director of Canadian school district, notarized by Canadian government who thereby writes the notarial papers. The safety of the students in Canada will be in the charge of the director who bears a legal liability.

Management Service Abroad

Students’ homestays, medical care and management affairs are the responsibilities of Canadian school district in this program. All schools have ESL classes and private tuition, along with counselors for international students and coordinators for Chinese students. So the parents have access to the grades reports and behaviors of their children on the server of the school district through the Internet.

The school district has the responsibility to provide a safe and qualified homestay for each foreign student. All homestays are chosen after strict censorship. Each school also has homestay coordinator whose job is to communicate between homestays, students and the school, in order to make sure all the students are under proper care and supervision.

VPEA would also designate a Chinese teacher who specializes in students’ daily life, study, further education, career and etc.

Canadian High School Entrance Requirement

Students in this program would study in Luoyang No. 2 Foreign Language School for Grade 10. With Canadian school district admitting their grades, they are allowed to finish Grade 11&12 in one of the high schools in the school districts. After the required credits, they could get Canadian high school diplomas.

College Entrance Requirements

With their high school diplomas and GPA, the students have the access to apply for universities in Canada, the United States and the Common Wealth.

Registration Requirement

Target students: Junior school graduates

Class size: 25 students per class, 2 classes

Registration time: After April 1st

Registration materials: Student’s ID and one copy of the original, 2 1-inch recent photos

Admission Criteria

1. Students are required to take the admission tests designed by Canadian school district.

2. Students should get a score of no less than the minimum admission fractional line of model high schools in Henan province in High School Entrance Exams. The score of English should be no less than 90 (out of 120).

Charging Standard

In China: 50,000 RMB per year, not including books and accommodation

In Canada: Around 30,000 Canadian dollars per year including accommodation, 3 meals a day and tuition.
