Description of Canadian Credit Courses in Grade 10

Science

Science is a comprehensive course including Physics, Geography, Chemistry and Biology. Besides massive related English words, students have access to the course structure, teaching method and evaluation system in Canada.

Social Studies

Social Studies is a comprehensive course including Canadian history and geography. Students can get a general idea of Canada’s society and will immerse in local culture rapidly.

Study Planning

Study planning is an extinctive course in Canadian high school curriculum. It aims to help students analyze their own interests and advantages, so as to build a good future plan and find their effective study plans. 

ESL

ESL, English as Second Language, promotes students’ English comprehensive abilities including listening, speaking, reading and writing. It is more practical than traditional English course in China.

 

Criteria of Canadian High School Diploma

Students are required to achieve at least 80 credits during Grade 10-12, which means twenty 4-credit courses, 48 academic credits, 28 elective credits and 4 graduation transition credits.
