On February 13^th, the school announced the official start of “The Principal Cup” Soccer Season by Mr. Bai Fan, who kicked off the first soccer ball. All the Junior 1 and Junior 2 classes would be attending this two-month season. The winners would be announced in June and awarded with sports equipment. Besides, all the excellent players chosen from the season will be giving a friendly match and parents would be invited to this game.

Soccer, as a popular sport, enhances the students’ athletic talents as well as their ability of cooperation. At the meantime, the audiences also improve their own teamwork spirit by cheering for their classmates.

For the recent years, the school has been emphasizing the importance of soccer campus culture by employing professional soccer teachers. In 2011, the school received the award of The Soccer Experimental School in Henan. In the same year, boys’ soccer team, girls’ soccer team and soccer club were founded. In the summer vacation of 2014, they won the first place in women’s soccer game and the third in men’s soccer game in 12^th Sports Meeting in Henan province. In 2015, the school gained the honor of National Teenagers Soccer School. In 2016, the boys’ soccer team won the second place in “the Mayor Cup” in Luoyang. 

Soccer in school provides the students with more access to soccer, which is essential in the promotion of this kind of sport.
