In the first week of September, all the students and teachers held a five-day Homecoming Week. Homecoming Week is a traditional activity in North American high schools and universities at this time annually. It includes a special theme and a series of sports and cultural activities aiming to welcome new students and alumni back to campus. With the leadership of Ms. Xue Lian, our vice principle who is in charge of International High School Department, a variety of activities were held during this week, including Class Color Day, Cartoon Day, Rainbow T-shirt Day, International Day and Charity Day. On each day, they participate in a related activity, such as decorating the classroom, making clay miniatures, tie-dying t-shirts, presenting different countries and sell flowers for Teacher’s Day. On the next Monday of Homecoming Week, the students and teachers went to Luoyang Social Welfare Institute to help the disabled and show their care. They brought with a lot of gifts with the money earned on Charity Day.

During this series of well-planned activities, not only did the students actively participate, all the teachers also enjoyed a lot. Hope they could enjoy this coming school year as well.
