International High School Section adopts North American evaluation system for students, which means every school year is divided into four quarters, and in each quarter, students presentation and performance take up 15%, homework 30%, quizzes 25% and mid-term or final 30% in their overall grades.

In Canadian high schools, it’s the same to get students’ overall grades. About 70% of the overall grades are composed of every homework, quiz, project and presentation and other elements. Therefore, in order to get good results, students are supposed to make effort every day rather than just the one or two weeks before the exam.

In Canada, there is no such thing as College Entrance Exam in China. Students apply for universities or colleges with their average grades in Grade 12. At the same time, students’ community service, volunteer work and working experience can also contributes to their integrative competence.
